About the Project

The GAP (Gender Advocacy Project), and LGBTQ+ rights and advocacy initiative aims to shed light on the gaps in the discourse of gender and sexuality in the Indian setting and attempts to overcome these gaps via awareness, educational tools, and activism.

At GAP, we truly believe that community-driven effort is what brings true change. Apart from working on a a sensitization handbook that includes chapters on sexuality and gender identity, pronoun usage, privacy, and legality to foster awareness and advocate for equal rights, our initiative incorporates a hands-on approach that involves attempts to foster acceptance and empathy in the community, gender and sexuality sensitization and awareness campaigns, and empowerment-based outreach. We seek to make society a fairer and more tolerant, safe place for people of all genders and sexualities.
